Microbiologist

As a Microbiologist, you will conduct tests on finished products and raw materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, following cGMP and cGLP guidelines. This role involves working with various microbiological techniques and providing technical support for the manufacturing environmental monitoring program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Gram Stain and Plate Method - Spread Plates analyses.
• Analyze up to Bio-safety level II for pathogens.
• Write and update SOPs, instrument qualification/method validation protocols, and technical reports.
• Perform chemistry analysis.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing in the environmental monitoring program.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain microbiological instrumentation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support audits.

• Experience in microbiology and quality control.
• Proficiency in Gram staining and plate methods.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, GMP, GLP, cGLP, FDA, and HACCP.

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or Bacteriology.
• At least two microbiology classes in school or two years of experience in a microbiology lab.
• Experience in an FDA-regulated environment is a plus.

The work environment involves a mix of lab bench work (70%) and administrative tasks (30%), such as writing reports and managing lab inventory. You will train from 8 AM to 4/5 PM, Monday to Friday, for approximately one month or until comfortable. The permanent schedule is 6 AM to 6 PM on a 2-2-3 rotation, with an option for night shifts. You will be part of a small, collaborative QC Chemistry & Microbiology Lab team at a Pharmaceutical Wet Wipe Manufacturer. The team fosters a fun and supportive working environment.

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr.
