Membership Clerk

Pay: $27/hour

Location: Quincy, MA (Onsite – 5 days/week)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Membership Clerk to support the accurate maintenance and processing of membership data. This is a highly data-driven role requiring strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage high volumes of information efficiently. The position is newly created and offers the opportunity to contribute to key membership operations within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Membership Data Management

  • Maintain and update membership records, including demographics, contact details, employment information, and dues classifications
  • Process high-volume data entry with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency
  • Audit electronic membership files and upload data into the membership database
  • Generate reports and assist with data analysis as needed

Financial & Administrative Support

  • Prepare and process dues deposits and cash receipts
  • Assist in compiling data for financial reports and transmittals
  • Support clerical and basic accounting functions

Member & Stakeholder Support

  • Provide support to members, retirees, and local officers regarding dues, billing, and demographic updates
  • Assist with inquiries and occasional phone support as needed
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence and membership-related materials

Process & Team Support

  • Maintain knowledge of membership procedures, policies, and bylaws
  • Assist in improving recordkeeping and data processing workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Support team operations and serve as backup for other staff as needed

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of administrative, data entry, or related experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with numbers and data
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
