Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• 12 months of acute care experience.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum 1 year in Acute Care MedSurg setting.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Some cardiac skill would be great.
Special Requests: - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. - Common patient population includes admission hold patients from the ED with admission and care orders and no immediate medical bed available; overflow medical observation patients when the observation unit is full; discharge pending patients awaiting transport, DME for safe discharge, or receipt of indigent medications; may also have patients pending dialysis prior to discharge. - Scope of care includes IV and PO medication administration as ordered, pending orders, admission database, blood sugar checks, oxygen via nasal cannula, nourishment per diet, assistance with complex toileting needs, and discharge-pending basic care. Will not have patients requiring IV drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, dobutamine, insulin, or Vapotherm; inmates; active infections requiring isolation precautions; PACU; or MedOps patients.
Shift & Scheduling: - Mon-Fri 7-7. The unit closes Friday at 7P. - The unit is closed on the weekends. - Holiday requirement: only if they fall during the week.
Floating Requirements: - Potential float if the census is low; will float to Med Surg Unit.
7 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference from within the last 12 months
1 Any reference from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
