Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 10 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Oregon license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be trained in telemetry and med-surg. - Required Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Feeding tube care and management, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Prefer not to have first-time travelers. - Accessing/Managing Ports, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Tracheostomy care/management, PCA.

Shift & Scheduling: - No standby. - Every other weekend required. - 48 hours are not approved. - Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day). - RTO must be listed at time of submission.

Floating Requirements: - Will float between units per unit needs. - May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.

Special Requests: - All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. - References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. - Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. - Cannot be currently or recently (within 6 months) employed with network - must have left in good status, if former employee. - ER profiles must include the size of the facility / # beds and the trauma level designation (if any). - Orientation for all Oregon facilities is in Portland, OR for RN, LPN, and CNAs. - Must have a vehicle for this assignment. - Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request - RTO - 6 days total or 3 consecutive days can be auto-approved. Anything more, traveler will sign contract with pending RTO. *Anything more than 6 Days will potentially delay your offer while we run approval by the client. To minimize turn around please limit total RTO requests. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD) - MUST request all RTO / specific scheduling requests up-front during submittal. Post submittal/offer RTO may not be considered or granted. Inflexibility beyond contracted schedule and/or RTO may lead to termination of contract and system DNR.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
