Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Oncology and PCU experience required.
Required Credentials: - Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required during onboarding. - Pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation; must receive 90% to pass.
Special Requests: - An interview may not be available prior to offer. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. - RTO needed upfront; maximum 7 days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.
Unit Details: - Mixed PCU/med-surg oncology unit caring for adult oncology and trauma patients. - Ratios: 1:4 PCU and 1:5 med/surg on days; 1:5-6 patients on nights. - Common drips/medications include chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, protonix, and occasional insulin drips. - Real-time training available for ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring, including CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000, and ICP. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and lift equipment including Lyko lifts. - Support staff includes nursing assistants, PT/OT, RN case manager, social work, educator, and dietician.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Self-scheduling. - 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a
Floating Requirements: - Floats to med/surg and PCU units at the same level of care.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• ONS (Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider) or the alternative certification OCN (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
