Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment

Pay Rate: $52–$56 per hour

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours per week (36 hours scheduled)

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7a–7:30p)

State License Required: Arizona

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Medical‑Surgical Registered Nurses for a travel assignment. Candidates must be clinically strong, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced Med/Surg environment with pulmonary patient exposure. This role requires flexibility, strong documentation skills, and compliance with strict onboarding and background standards.

Schedule & Staffing Details

  • 36 hours scheduled per week
  • 24 hours guaranteed
  • One shift may be canceled per scheduling guidelines
  • Weekend and holiday rotations required
  • Floating required per facility guidelines
  • On‑call requirements determined by the facility

Eligibility Requirement

Arizona residents are not eligible for assignments within Arizona. Residency will be verified using a valid driver’s license.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 24 months of Med/Surg experience
  • Recent Med/Surg experience within the last 12 months
  • Experience or willingness to work pulmonary patients
  • Active RN license with no disciplinary actions
  • Ability to start on the listed start date or no more than one week later
  • Life support certifications from AHA, ARC, or ASHI only

Required Documents & Compliance

  • Completed assignment cover page (required)
  • Resume detailing all facilities worked, departments, trauma levels, and bed counts
  • Med/Surg skills checklist completed within the last 12 months
  • Active RN license verified within the last 30 days
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications from approved vendors
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Request time off (RTO) must be listed on the cover page
  • Maximum 7 days
  • No RTO during the first week of assignment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous travel nursing experience (highly preferred)
  • Flexibility with locations, shifts, and departments to help secure quick placement
