We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The RN will be responsible for managing pre- and post-operative patients, delivering bedside care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients
- Administer and document medications as prescribed
- Monitor patient vitals and report any adverse reactions promptly
- Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
- Assist with discharge planning in collaboration with the care team
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and ongoing care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in an acute care or post-acute setting
- Recent clinical experience within the past year
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- ACLS certification (AHA required for select units)
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and post-operative care
- Proficiency in IV therapy, wound care, infection control, and telemetry monitoring
- Epic experience required

- Shift is 12 hrs/days and Nights, 36 hrs/week
- Location is Brooklyn, NY 11206
- Pay Range for Locals: $54 - $57per hour
