Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Specialist, where your expertise will drive efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will manage administrative tasks, coordinate patient scheduling, and ensure accurate documentation within EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help streamline clinic workflows, support medical staff, and enhance the overall patient experience. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a compassionate healthcare environment while utilizing your comprehensive medical office skills.

Fridays-7.5 hours. 8:30 am-4 pm. Occasional extension of hours for emergencies.

$18.00-$18.50 /hour.


Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
  • Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle billing processes including medical collection efforts.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently using ProHealth Epic, ensuring optimal clinic flow.
  • Review and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review.
  • Coordinate and schedule Audiologist patients and provide support to the Audiologist
  • Ensure office supplies and instruments are processed and available
  • Perform duties necessary to ensure smooth flow of the office

Skills

  • Extensive experience with Epic, preferably ProHealth EPIC
  • Ability in insurance verification processes
  • Excellent organizational skills with clerical experience in a busy medical setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills combined with multi-line phone system handling and 10-key typing proficiency.
