Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Liberal, KS
Shift: Day Shift (8- or 10-hour shifts) or Evening Shift
Pay Rate: Starting at $27.10/hr (negotiable based on experience)
Shift & Weekend Differentials: Available
Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,500 (with receipts/proof of expenses)
Job Summary:
Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT). The technologist will perform a wide range of laboratory testing procedures, including chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, molecular diagnostics, and microbiology testing. This role also includes phlebotomy responsibilities and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely patient results.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across multiple disciplines.
-Collect patient specimens and perform phlebotomy as needed.
-Analyze, verify, and report accurate test results in accordance with laboratory policies.
-Maintain quality control standards and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
-Support patient care by providing timely and reliable diagnostic information.
-Participate in weekend, holiday, and occasional night-shift coverage as required.
-Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
-Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff.
Education & Requirements:
-Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science required.
-Phlebotomy experience required.
-MLS candidates may be considered for Microbiology Lead Tech or Chemistry Lead Tech opportunities.
Schedule Requirements:
-Day Shift: 8- or 10-hour shifts; every 3rd weekend rotation when fully staffed.
-Evening Shift: Every other weekend rotation.
-Occasional night-shift coverage required; all technologists are cross-trained.
