Description
The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory testing to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role ensures accurate and timely test results through proper specimen handling, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related life science
ASCP (MLS or MT), AMT, or equivalent national certification (or eligibility)
Knowledge of laboratory operations, quality control, and regulatory standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Active ASCP (MLS) or MT certification
Previous experience in a hospital, reference lab, or outpatient laboratory setting
Experience with laboratory automation and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
Cross‑training or experience in multiple laboratory disciplines

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
