A Day in the Life of a Territory Development Associate:
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, presenting, objection handling, and closing, tailored to each account.
- Build and expand relationships with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, hospitals, and healthcare administrators.
- Drive new physician adoption and increase ordering volume in your territory.
- Deliver hands-on product demonstrations, aligning Ermi solutions to patient outcomes (ROM improvement).
- Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and account data in Salesforce.
- Partner with Marketing and R&D to provide field insights that influence product and go-to-market strategy.
- Represent Ermi at industry events and clinical settings, maintaining a high professional standard.
- Ensure all interactions meet healthcare compliance and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (business, marketing, exercise science, or related field).
- Experience: 3+ years medical device sales (orthopedics strongly preferred) with proven success in new account acquisition and territory growth.
- Sales Execution: Demonstrated ability to run a structured, full-cycle sales process and consistently hit quota.
- Clinical Acumen: Working knowledge of joint anatomy, rehabilitation, and patient outcomes.
- CRM Discipline: Experience using Salesforce (or similar) to manage pipeline, reporting, and forecasting.
- Skills: High-level communication, persuasion, resilience, time management, and adaptability.
- Work Style: Self-directed, accountable, and comfortable operating independently in a field-based role.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to travel extensively (80%), sit for extended periods, use an iPad, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
