Job Description
This Medical Assistant role supports a busy primary care office by rooming patients, preparing and cleaning exam rooms, documenting in electronic medical records, and assisting with appointment scheduling. The position plays a key role in ensuring efficient clinic flow and a positive experience for every patient.

Work Environment
This role is based in a primary care office with a collaborative clinical team focused on delivering high-quality outpatient care. The schedule is Monday through Friday with typical shifts of 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., or 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., each including a 1-hour unpaid lunch. Candidates should be flexible with hours as needed. There is a possibility of floating to additional locations, including Putnam and Willimantic offices, on different days of the week; these assignments are scheduled in advance and do not require traveling between sites on the same day. The clinic uses the TS Energy EMR system and standard primary care equipment and supplies. The environment supports union membership with access to strong benefits once hired permanently, including comprehensive benefits starting 60 days after permanent hire and paid time off eligibility beginning 120 days after permanent hire. Clinical staff typically wear professional medical attire appropriate for a primary care setting

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windham, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.76 - $21.00/hr.
