Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant, you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

  • Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data.
  • Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making Related to plan of care.
  • Obtains patient's chart and calls patient from the waiting room to the back Office. Reviews purpose of the visit with the patient and checks chart for action items and procedures from previous visit. Obtains outstanding labs and presents to physician or advanced health care practitioner for review.
  • Places patients in the room and has them disrobe and gown according to the purpose of the visit. Takes vital signs and documents results on the chart. Cleans exam room after each patient is discharged.
  • Administers injections/immunizations and documents in the patient's chart on order s of the physician or advanced health care practitioner. Performs visual acuity testing, spirometry and audiometry as ordered by the physician or advanced health care practitioner.
  • Accompanies the patient to the laboratory, processes lab request forms and documents in the patient's chart.
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • A minimum of three years of outpatient ambulatory clinic care experience
  • Valid Medical Assistant Certificate
