Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support in a clinical setting, ensuring smooth operation and superior patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform follow-up tasks and update patient records through data entry.
• Answer inbound phone calls and manage communication effectively.
• Order labs and relay lab results to the relevant parties.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient care efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Assisting.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically Athena.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Assisting diploma or certification is preferred.
• Experience with appointment scheduling and patient care.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to support clinical operations.
• BLS certification and familiarity with insurance processes are advantageous.

Work Environment

The position is based onsite at a clinic, working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The work environment is supportive and offers numerous benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
