Medical Assembler

Join our dynamic team as a Medical Assembler, where you will start in the coiling department within a cleanroom setting. You will be responsible for the assembly of medical components and parts, utilizing coil winding machines and microscopes to inspect and manipulate wires. This role requires you to gown up with proper attire including smocks, booties, hair nets, and eye protection. Your work will contribute to the creation of critical medical products such as stints, catheters, and leads.

Responsibilities

• Operate coil winding machines and inspect wires using microscopes.
• Manipulate and cut wires as needed.
• Cross-train in different assembly areas including molding, CEA assembly, laser welding, and implantable housings.
• Inspect and deburr parts using small hand tools.
• Work with laser welding machines to assemble tiny medical components.
• Operate automated presses and stamping machines in the implantable housings area.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting finished components and performing necessary adjustments.
• Follow work instructions and maintain attention to detail throughout all processes.

• Hand dexterity.
• 4-6+ months of medical manufacturing or small part experience.
• 4-6+ months of microscope experience.
• Experience in cleanroom environments, assembly, laser welding, and coil winding.
• Ability to sit or stand for 8 hours.

• Mechanical inclination is beneficial for work in housings area.
• Sewing or similar activities requiring good hand dexterity are advantageous.
• Adaptability to cross-train in various areas.

Work Environment

Work in a cleanroom environment requiring proper gowning up, including smocks and eye protection. Some positions may be in a non-cleanroom area, which requires eye protection and is louder due to machinery. The facility is clean and well-maintained, offering an employee wellness plan, a workout facility, and recreational amenities. Candidates must be adaptable to sitting and standing throughout the day. Skirts are permitted provided no skin is exposed, and hijabs are allowed if worn safely.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.53/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Saint Paul,MN.
