Education &
Skills Required:
-A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Systems, Applied Manufacturing or related field with 2+ years of experience preferred.
- Will consider recent graduates, but preferably a minimum of 2+ years of experience in designing/engineering systems.
- Demonstrated creativity and adherence to design best practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft software applications
- Proficiency in Inventor & AutoCAD.
- Electrical design and PLC controls experience is a plus.
Primary Function:
Designing advanced machines for functional production testing, laboratory testing, and industrial production. While your engineering, design, and analysis efforts will primarily unfold at your workstation, machine assembly and debugging will take place in a shop floor/warehouse environment.

Reports to: Engineering Manager
Essential Duties:
· Lead all technical aspects of multiple assigned projects.
· Collaborate closely with customers to understand and define system requirements (typically, in partnership with the outside salesperson).
· Responsible for the development of a project schedule and communicating changes to the customer and operations.
· Utilize Inventor & AutoCAD for designing fluid power systems (hydraulic and pneumatic) for use in industrial production, research facilities, and power generation.
· Define design and development responsibility for projects based on internal ISO processes and leverage appropriate resources.
· Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) and collaborate with the purchasing department for material procurement.
· Develop start up and testing procedures to verify customer requirements are met and assist the assembly team in the completion of these procedures.
· Support the in-house assembly technicians, outside sales engineers and outside field service with system troubleshooting.
· Occasional travel to customer facilities for discovery, start-up, and troubleshooting stages of the projects
