Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Our mechanical engineering group collaborates with other engineers and architects on a variety of projects and building types.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the International Mechanical Code and Energy Conservation Code.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively as a member of multi-discipline project teams.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with strict attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems under pressure.
  • Possess a working knowledge of codes and standards such as SMACNA, NEC, IBC, IMC, IECC, and ASHRAE.

Essential Skills

  • 4-8 years of mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of calculations, design, layout, and specification of commercial and institutional HVAC systems.
  • Experience with HVAC replacement projects and project management.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university or equivalent commercial HVAC design experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • PE certification is ideal.
  • Experience in client communication, MEP design, and mechanical codes.

Work Environment

After the first 90 days, employees will be on a hybrid schedule. The atmosphere is very laid-back with a focus on mentorship. Employees can participate in a mentorship program and receive support for professional development, including PE exam reimbursement and a bonus upon passing the exam. During the summer, the office often has food trucks and ice cream trucks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
