Mechanical Engineer responsible for design, development, installation, and start-up/debug of process equipment in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop process equipment from concept through detailed engineering
Lead procurement, assembly, installation, and commissioning of custom equipment
Support start-up, testing, and debugging in early-stage development environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, electrical, controls, operations, etc.)
Manage full equipment lifecycle: problem definition, design, and documentation
Required Qualifications
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
3+ years of manufacturing experience
Strong knowledge of:
Roll-to-roll/web-conveyance system design
Thermal equipment design
Structural and thermal FEA modeling
Experience with mechanical design, installation, start-up, and debugging
Proficiency in SolidWorks and EPDM Vault
Experience working with machine shops and managing equipment procurement
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in evolving environments
