Mechanical Engineer

Location: Manchester, CT.

We’re partnered with a company building aircraft differently- combining modern engineering tools, automation, and a production-first mindset to design and scale propulsion systems faster and more efficiently than traditional aerospace.

They’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to focus on propulsion hardware, including propellers, rotating assemblies, and composite blade tooling.

This is a hands-on role with direct involvement in getting hardware designed, built, tested, and into production.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and develop propulsion system components and assemblies
  • Own parts from concept through to production release
  • Create detailed CAD models and production drawings (GD&T)
  • Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure designs are scalable and cost-effective
  • Support prototype builds, tooling trials, and root cause investigations
  • Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to industrialise components
  • Provide hands-on support during assembly, integration, and testing

What they’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Strong CAD capability (SolidWorks or similar)
  • Experience releasing parts into production environments
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, moulding, etc.)
  • Comfortable working closely with shop floor teams
  • Practical, problem-solving mindset with a bias toward execution

Nice to have:

  • Propellers, rotating equipment, or turbomachinery
  • Composite materials or tooling design
  • Aerospace or aviation systems

This role suits engineers who want to move quickly, take ownership, and see their work translate into real, production hardware.

If that sounds relevant, please apply for more details.
