Job Description

This position involves developing mechanical system design packages for gas turbine auxiliary mechanical equipment. The role requires collaboration with outside vendors to fabricate specified equipment and ensuring that the supplied equipment packages meet code, contract, and schedule requirements for various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical system design packages for gas turbine auxiliary mechanical equipment.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to fabricate specified equipment.
  • Ensure supplied equipment packages meet code, contract, and schedule requirements.
  • Work with major systems including Heat Exchangers, Fuel Gas Conditioning Equipment, GT and Auxiliary Enclosures Heating, Enhanced Cooling Air Equipment, Air Intake Filter House, Exhaust Ducts, Expansion Joints, Equipment Enclosures, Access Platforms, and Handrails.

Essential Skills

  • Experience writing specifications for equipment.
  • Sizing and selection of equipment.
  • Proficiency in design and mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, oil and gas industry, pumps, fans, compressors, lube oil, skid systems, gas and steam turbines, air inlet, filters, snubbers, fire protection, enclosures, equipment selection, and HTRI.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; Master's is a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience.
  • Experience with skid manufacturing, rotating equipment, or static equipment with an EPC preferred.
  • Power Plant, Japan-related, or other International business experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese language skills are beneficial.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Acrobat Writer, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of database management, project management, graphics, technical diagrams, and flow-charts.

Work Environment

The Lake Mary office serves as the North American HQ for Plant Engineering and is a multi-disciplinary office including Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Controls, and Project Management teams. The office accommodates roughly 100+ professionals in a collaborative setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lake Mary, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
