Mechanical Revit Designer

What You’ll Do
- Build highly detailed HVAC ductwork layouts and 3D BIM models in Autodesk Revit (MEP)
- Develop models from the ground up, advancing from LOD 300 (FEED) through LOD 400 (Issued for Fabrication)
- Incorporate full system detail including duct supports, instrumentation, fire detection elements, and commissioning-ready layouts
- Produce high-quality construction documents—plans, sections, and detailed drawings aligned with consulting standards
- Collaborate across disciplines (electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural) to ensure fully coordinated, clash-free designs
- Run clash detection and coordination workflows using Navisworks
- Translate engineering calculations into accurate, buildable system layouts
- Support engineering teams through design iterations, redlines, and multi-phase project delivery
- Apply and uphold industry standards such as ASHRAE and SMACNA
- Participate in QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and families
What You Bring
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP), including modeling, worksets, and family creation
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems (airflow, duct sizing, equipment layouts)
- Experience working in multidisciplinary BIM environments
- Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven projects
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables
Bonus Experience
- Knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems
- Experience supporting large, technically complex facilities
- Familiarity with full project lifecycle delivery—from concept through fabrication
Preferred Background
- Degree or coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination tools
- Project experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Semiconductor manufacturing facilities
- Life sciences / pharmaceutical environments
- Data centers and mission-critical infrastructure
- Industrial or process support facilities
