Description
We are seeking a CAD Conversion Engineer to support our engineering design team in transitioning legacy models into Siemens NX format. This role is critical to ensuring design continuity, data integrity, and compatibility across platforms for our maritime engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
•Convert 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings from legacy CAD systems (e.g., CATIA V5) to Siemens NX using best practices and validated workflows.
•Validate geometry, features, and metadata post-conversion to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•Collaborate with design engineers to resolve discrepancies and optimize models for downstream use in manufacturing and simulation.
•Maintain documentation of conversion processes, issues encountered, and resolutions.
•Support the integration of converted models into PLM systems such as Teamcenter.
•Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on CAD standards and interoperability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
•Proficiency in Siemens NX with 2–8 years of CAD modeling experience.
•Strong understanding of CAD data structures, feature-based modeling, and assembly management.
•Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience:
•Familiarity with CATIA V5 and CAD data migration workflows.
•Background in maritime, shipbuilding, or heavy industrial design.
•Experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter.
•Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
