SCOPE
Responsible for mechanical design, documentation, and production support for assigned projects. Develop and maintain accurate drawings, BOMs, and engineering standards while ensuring designs are high quality, cost‑effective, and meet specifications. Collaborate closely with production to ensure manufacturability and effective communication.

EDUCATION
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
- 1–3 years of mechanical or equipment design experience (capital equipment, automation, machine tools, or presses preferred)
- Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D parametric modeling (AutoCAD and CREO preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards (ASME Y14.5)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Interest in DFM/DFA, weldments, castings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining
- Familiar with capital equipment
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Create cost‑effective mechanical and piping designs
- Prepare accurate, fully dimensioned and tolerance drawings
- Perform tolerance stack‑ups and interference checks
- Maintain parts databases and BOMs in ERP systems
- Support and develop engineering standards
- Coordinate with manufacturing, assembly, and vendors to ensure manufacturability
- Resolve design and production issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts
- Travel and work flexible hours as required
- Report project status and complete other assigned duties
