Job Title: Hose Assembler

Shift and Pay:

• 1st: 7am-4:30pm
• $20/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hose Assembler who will be responsible for assembling hoses by hand while reviewing detailed drawings similar to blueprints and working from production orders. The assembler will verify that the drawings match the production orders to ensure the correct fittings are used. You will utilize a tape measure to confirm the hoses are the correct length before and after fittings are installed, and may assemble anywhere from 20-200 hoses daily. After the training period, you will pull your own fittings from the inventory and be cross-trained in other tasks within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hoses by hand using production orders and drawings.
• Verify drawings to ensure correct fittings are used.
• Use a tape measure to ensure hoses are the correct length.
• Assemble between 20-200 hoses daily.
• Pull fittings from inventory post-training.
• Operate equipment such as a soft gasket press, circle cutter, Allpax cutter, and shears.
• Paint gaskets or use a punch press machine to cut soft gaskets.
• Assist with hose banding, crimping, rolling, cutting, and testing.
• Assist in the mechanical seal department with disassembly, cleaning, bead blasting, and shipping.
• Operate a forklift upon certification.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing production.
• Experience working off work orders.
• 1+ years of experience using a tape measure in a professional setting (down to a 16th).
• Experience with machine operation.
• Forklift operation certification.
• Experience with shipping and receiving.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Crimping skills.

Work Environment

Work in an open-air shop that is non-climate controlled but equipped with fans. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a one-hour lunch break from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. There are opportunities for overtime once you are trained and proven. The typical day includes a morning meeting to assign tasks, followed by production work, lunch, more production, a short break, and shop cleanup starting at 4:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Jacksonville,FL.
