Job Description

This mechanic role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostics and make repairs to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Work on a fleet that includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, and HVAC systems.
  • Comply with safety standards and procedures in all aspects of the job.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
  • 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexibility in managing changing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, motors, engine repair, and diesel maintenance.
  • Related experience in roles such as Shop Mechanic, Technician, Service Foreman, or Service Manager.
  • ASE Certified Mechanic or IFPS Certified Technician preferred.

Work Environment

The role involves physical demands such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working both indoors and outdoors as required by the job. Employees may need to provide their own mechanic's tools of the trade.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.38 - $36.00/hr.
