The full-time Mathematics instructor will be responsible for teaching a range of mathematics courses spanning from developmental/remedial math through upper-level courses such as calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. This position requires a commitment to excellence in teaching, student success, and the ability to support a diverse student population with varying levels of mathematical preparedness. The instructor will also teach additional mathematics courses based upon the needs of the Mathematics Division and at the request of the Division Chair/Dean of Instruction. The Mathematics Instructor reports directly to the Chair of the Mathematics Division and ultimately to the Dean of Instruction in the performance of various duties. These duties require a minimum of 35 hours on-campus work per week and include the following kinds of responsibilities: instructional duties, duties to students, divisional duties, institutional duties, and personal and professional development activities. Travel to additional sites as well as evening classes may be required.

SALARY:
Salary Schedule D1 $42,108-$94,363 (9 month) $13,001-$29,184 (3 month), based upon the Alabama Community College System Salary Schedule to be determined by the applicant’s years of applicable experience.
