Material Handler

Our client, a leading industrial organization, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be an essential part of the production support team, ensuring smooth inventory management and material flow. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Clare, MI

Pay Range: $17.50

Shift: 
2nd shift; 4pm to 12 am (Monday to Friday)
3rd shift: 10 pm to 6 am (Sunday to Thursday)
*overtime is scheduled prior to shift start time and can be heavy including weekends

What's the Job?

• Support production associates by receiving, dispensing, and maintaining inventory in vertical storage units and on the shop floor.
• Utilize the ERP system for all inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Assist with maintaining optimal inventory levels and report any unplanned issues to the Team Leader.
• Pull components for work orders, print labels, and ensure proper storage and sequencing of hardware.
• Operate forklifts, carts, and other approved methods to transport materials efficiently between departments.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift operation experience.
• Basic math skills for inventory management.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for long periods.
