Master Technician

The Master Technician will be responsible for repairing electric, hybrid, or regular vehicles, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company standards. The role requires diagnosing malfunctions, performing repairs using schematics or diagnostic equipment, and communicating effectively with the parts department and shop foreman.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on electric, hybrid, or regular vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs using diagnostic equipment.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
• Save and tag parts if under warranty or as requested.
• Examine vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is needed.
• Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
• Road test vehicles when required.
• Stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins and recalls.
• Supervise other technicians, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Maintain accountability for all company-owned tools and manuals, ensuring they are returned in the same condition.

• ASE certification with at least 4 ASE certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of Electrical Vehicle (EV) experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as an Automotive mechanic/technician.
• Master Level technician expertise.
• Experience training newer technicians on maintenance processes and protocols.

• Electric Vehicle certification from ASE or an OEM.
• Ability and willingness to obtain remaining ASE certifications within 1 year.
• Customer interfacing skills, ensuring presentability and comfort in interactions.

Work Environment

The role is located in a service shop with 24/7 coverage, offering an air-conditioned environment. Employees have the opportunity to participate in a new and exciting project. The dress code includes pants or jeans, safety shoes, and a plain shirt. Shifts are scheduled as follows: A shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend work. B shift runs from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in San Francisco,CA.
