Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Marketing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Marketing Planner to support the TDA / TCUV / Rent a Toyota team.
Reporting into the Marketing Manager the primary responsibility of this role is to support the TDA team through the management of Toyota Certified Used Vehicles, Rent a Toyota in addition to supporting Sales Events.
What you’ll be doing
Responsibleforday-to-day Toyota Certified Used Vehicles(TCUV)&Rent a Toyota(RT)Nationalmarketing operationsby acting as the liaison between multiple internal and external departments (TDA, Sales,Region/PDs,Fleet, Digital, Media, Owner Retention, Training, TFS, Lexus, and D&IS) and numerous business partners(Saatchi & Saatchi,Conill, Shift Digital), ensuring business continuity and success
Coordinatecreative strategiesthrough consultationwith our marketing agencies (SSLA &Conill) toachievealignment on businessobjectives, goals, and KPI’s
Review SEO, SEM, and Media performance and act as a key-stakeholder in the development of new, innovative ways to increase consumerawareness and traffic tothe TCUV andRTbrands
ManageRTDealerAdvertising Co-op Program. Effectively evaluate risks, return-on-investment,and developprogramguidelines
Maintain andmonitorconsumer facing digital properties (Toyotacertified.com & Toyota.com/rental) while continuously focusing on ways to enhance user experience(UX)
Analyze TCUV andRTmarketing budgets to accurately forecast spend
Manage(Reorder points, pricing, creation)allPoint-of-Sale (POS) Materials(100+ products) for both TCUV andRTby working with suppliers and our Material Distribution Center to effectively forecast demand and supply
Work closely with D&IS AppLeadtohelpsolvecomplextechnology and platform issues through to completion
Work closely with regional/PDfield management on all TCUV andRTmarketing activities, including ad-hoc requests, reporting, presentations,and training
Hasdecision levelcontributions to TCUV/RTMarketing efforts (ex. TCUV andRTwebsite imagery and copy)
Coordination, planning, and execution ofTCUV/RTRound Table (field)meeting and National Dealer Meeting Expo
Initial approver ofRTadvertising co-op claims
Analyzes MDC inventory levels and places orders ofconsumer facing materials ordered by dealers
Reviews and submitsTDA, TCUV, andRTCo-opandAssessment Fee files toAccounts Payable
Coordinates and approves TCUV andRTretail items sold through Toyota Outfitters
Coordinates certain activities and projects for BCI App Lead
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree
At least 1+ years of experience in marketing/advertisingor a related field
Exceptional understanding of the digital space and the ability to constantlyevolvewebproperties tomaintaindigital market leadership
Previous experience working in an automotive landscape
Proficiencyin Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Highly organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Foundational business acumen to understand corporate strategy and present insights to various audiences
Strong creativeandanalyticalskills, which are necessary to developsuccessful and innovative marketing strategies
Strong understanding of the elements of UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface)
Experience with vendor evaluation,selectionand management
Proven ability to use consumer-based insights to makeappropriate recommendationsand influence the organization
Added bonus if you have
MBA or advanced business degree
4+ years of experience in marketing/advertisingor a related field
Experience interfacing withhigh levelsof management across theenterprise, advertisingagenciesand consultants
Experience with Toyota Regions/PDs and Dealer retail environment
Experience in automotive or automotive related industry
Prior experience in sales or related functions
Exceptional ability to collaborate across divisional operations, including Field, IS, Dealers, Agency Partners to develop relationships, collaborate and drive change
