Marketing Coordinator/Specialist

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing the day-to-day marketing and communication initiatives of Larkin University. This role combines creativity with strong organizational skills to ensure the university’s brand, culture, and achievements are authentically represented. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can balance hands-on execution with vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand & Communications

  • Develop and maintain consistent brand messaging across all university platforms.
  • Create engaging digital and print content (newsletters, brochures, flyers, press releases, student/faculty spotlights, and promotional materials.
  • Manage and/or coordinate updates to the university website.
  • Work with the faculty, administrators and admissions/recruitment to understand the programs, activities and campaigns and create content to serve their needs.
  • Elevate Larkin University’s brand as a leader in health profession education.

Digital and Social Media Marketing

  • Oversee university social media channels (content planning, posting, monitoring, and analytics).
  • Coordinate digital advertisement campaigns with external vendors.
  • Track and report on key digital performance metrics such as impressions, engagement, lead generation, and conversions.

Enrollment Marketing & Recruitment Support

  • Partner with the Admissions team to develop targeted marketing campaigns aligned with recruitment cycles.
  • Design digital lead-generation funnels (landing pages, inquiry forms, remarketing ads) and optimize conversion to applications.
  • Support pipeline-building with high schools, community colleges, and pre-health programs through tailored campaigns.
  • Create communication plans (emails, text campaigns, digital brochures) that move prospects through the admissions funnel.
  • Capture and promote success stories of students, alumni, and faculty to showcase program impact.

Community & Campus Engagement

  • Promote university events, student activities, and faculty highlights.
  • Capture photo/video content at campus events for use in marketing.
  • Build partnerships with local stakeholders and support community outreach campaigns.

Project & Vendor Coordination

  • Act as the daily liaison with external marketing/PR vendors.
  • Coordinate printing, design, and media-buying projects.
  • Ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track effectiveness of campaigns, social engagement, and web traffic.
  • Provide monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of marketing experience (higher education or nonprofit experience a plus).
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to create content (basic design in Canva/Adobe, writing copy, taking photos/videos).
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and website CMS (WordPress preferred).
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environment.

Working Conditions
  • Full-time, on-site position at Larkin University’s Miami campus.
  • Standard work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends required to support university events and activities.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with periods of high activity (e.g., event weeks, student recruitment cycles).
  • Requires regular use of a computer, phone, and other office equipment.
  • Some light physical activity may be required (e.g., setting up promotional materials, carrying marketing supplies, standing for extended periods at events).
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across departments and interact with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, and community members.
