This role supports marketing that drives leads, sales conversion, and recruits independent brokers and agents. Location: Hybrid, Arden Hills, MN, Monday through Thursday onsite, Friday remote

Compensation: $50,000 to $72,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Job Description


The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the Distribution Marketing Team by executing the marketing programs that keep brokers and agents informed, engaged, and productive. This position will report to the Director of Communications and work closely with the Marketing Manager and Distribution team.


This is a writing-forward role focused on producing clear, compelling content across multiple formats and audiences. The work supports broker engagement, lead generation, and sales conversion, requiring someone who understands how marketing contributes directly to business outcomes.


The right candidate brings strong editorial instincts, comfort with marketing technology, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality. Success in this role comes from a balance of independent ownership and strong collaboration, contributing ideas, supporting team initiatives, and helping move work forward in a shared environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Distribution Marketing Team Lead with marketing plan execution, lead generation program development, and campaign coordination
  • Own end-to-end logistics for public-facing workshops and webinars, including scheduling, content collection, and execution
  • Write, edit, proofread, and research content for broker and agent communications across email, social, and web
  • Develop and manage LinkedIn and other social content that supports broker engagement, recruitment, and sales enablement
  • Manage sales email campaigns, ensuring messaging is timely, accurate, and aligned with brand and business goals
  • Make website updates using CMS tools and support ongoing content maintenance
  • Measure and report on campaign performance, translating data into actionable insights
  • Contribute ideas and content that help brokers and agents more effectively engage prospects and drive results


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in marketing or communications, with a strong writing and editing foundation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact
  • Active LinkedIn presence and experience developing B2B social content
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, MS Dynamics, or Salesforce
  • Tech-savvy with comfort in CMS editors, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms
  • Strong research skills and ability to translate information into clear, actionable content
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner effectively across marketing and sales teams
  • Self-starter who can take ownership of work, contribute ideas, and deliver with minimal oversight
  • Interest in financial services, insurance, or learning how marketing supports regulated, distribution-driven environments


Nice to Have:

  • HubSpot certification
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, or a similarly regulated industry
  • Familiarity with distribution or broker/agent marketing channels
