Role: Marketing Automation Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-month contract
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing Automation Manager to support the execution, optimization, and scaling of lifecycle and demand marketing programs. This role will partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and RevOps to manage campaigns, workflows, and data quality across marketing automation and CRM platforms. Ideal for someone who enjoys both building and optimizing automations while improving process and campaign performance.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day execution and optimization of marketing automation programs (email, nurture, lifecycle, and lead management)
- Build, test, and deploy automated campaigns, workflows, and journeys
- Manage integrations between marketing automation platform and CRM (typically Salesforce)
- Maintain data hygiene, segmentation, lead scoring, and routing logic
- Partner with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and Sales to support campaigns and initiatives
- Monitor campaign performance and translate insights into optimization recommendations
- Support A/B testing, reporting, and attribution tracking
- Document processes and enforce marketing automation best practices
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in marketing automation or marketing operations
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Strong understanding of lead lifecycle management and CRM integration (Salesforce preferred)
- Experience supporting B2B marketing teams
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Marketing automation certification (Marketo, HubSpot, SFMC)
- Experience with reporting/BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- HTML/CSS experience for emails or landing pages
- Experience supporting field marketing, events, or ABM programs
