Position Overview
B&W Quality Growers is expanding its Maintenance Team and is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our food-grade production and processing operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and commissioning equipment across manufacturing and production lines in a fast-paced, food-safe environment. This position is well suited for a technician with strong mechanical and electrical experience in manufacturing settings who can effectively diagnose issues, perform repairs, and install equipment on live production lines while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards.
You will play a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and maintaining safe and efficient operations throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production and processing line equipment during active operations
- Install, replace, and align motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, chains, belts, and drive systems
- Diagnose electrical and control issues including 3-phase systems, panels, sensors, PLCs, and VFDs
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment uptime
- Support line startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Complete CMMS work orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain compliance with all safety and food-grade operational standards
Qualifications & Technical Experience
Education & Experience
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or food-grade production environments
- Packing house or production line experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year as a Maintenance Technician I or completion of formal industrial maintenance training
- Industrial Maintenance certification or technical schooling required
Mechanical & Electrical Skills
- Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience (motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyor systems)
- Experience repairing and commissioning production line equipment
- Solid electrical troubleshooting skills including 3-phase power and control systems
- Working knowledge of PLCs and VFDs
- PLC diagnostics and programming experience required (Allen Bradley preferred)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Industrial manufacturing setting
- Exposure to cold environments (32–40°F), indoor production areas, and outdoor conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
