Manufacturing Planner

About the Role

Trio Manufacturing is experiencing rapid growth and is actively hiring experienced Manufacturing Planners and Manufacturing Engineers to support a high volume of complex aerospace work.

In this role, you will own the manufacturing plan from print to production, translating engineering data into detailed, executable routers that drive machining, processing, inspection, and delivery.

This is a high-impact position where your decisions directly affect cycle time, cost, quality, and on-time delivery. If you have a strong background in CNC machining, aerospace specifications, and process planning, this is an opportunity to work on challenging parts in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models

Develop complete manufacturing routers including CNC machining sequences, outside processing, assembly, and inspection requirements

Plan machining strategies for multi-axis environments including 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, lathe, VTL, and mill-turn machining applications.

Apply industry standards such as MIL, AMS, ASTM, QQ, and customer quality specifications

Identify and resolve manufacturability issues, drawing discrepancies, and material or processing conflicts

Collaborate with CNC programmers, quality control, quality assurance, and production control teams to define best manufacturing approach

Define inspection methods and tooling requirements including CMM and other measurement systems

Determine processing allowances for coatings, plating, and heat treat

Communicate with customers to resolve technical questions when required

Support continuous improvement in manufacturing efficiency and process standardization

What You Bring

Required

5 to 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, CNC machining, or process planning

Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD& T, and engineering specifications

Hands-on understanding of machining processes including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining

Experience developing or working with manufacturing routers or process plans

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-mix environment

Preferred

Experience with ERP or MRP systems

Knowledge of ISO, AS9100 and AS9102 FAIR requirements

Experience working with many different aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, high temp alloys, nickel-based alloys.

Experience with complex 5-axis machined parts, castings and forgings.

Why Trio

Trio Manufacturing is in a period of explosive growth. We are not just expanding we are transforming into a next level aerospace and defense manufacturing powerhouse. Our footprint is tripling as we move into a 130000 square foot campus designed to support the next generation of complex machining and advanced manufacturing.

We are making major investments in new equipment across the shop floor including multiple state of the art 5 axis machining centers mill turn platforms and large format machines that significantly expand our capability envelope. This is not incremental growth this is a full-scale capability leap.

Our backlog is stronger than ever driven by high demand across defense and commercial aerospace. The work coming through our doors includes some of the most challenging and technically demanding applications in the industry from complex structural components to tight tolerance high performance parts that directly support critical missions.

At Trio you will work alongside some of the brightest and most experienced minds in aerospace manufacturing. Our team is built around problem solvers people who thrive on complexity and take pride in figuring out how to build parts that others cannot. Collaboration here is real and hands on with direct access to programmer's machinists' quality engineers and leadership.

This role offers a level of impact that is hard to find. The plans you build directly drive how parts are made on the floor. You will see your decisions come to life in real time and play a key role in delivering precision hardware that matters.

If you are motivated by challenge this is the place for you. The work is demanding the expectations are high and the pace is fast. But with that comes a genuine sense of accomplishment. There is nothing like seeing a complex part successfully move from print to production knowing you were a key part of making it happen.
