Manufacturing Operations Specialist (Contract – Day Shift)
Location: San Francisco, CA (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety guidelines, including specialized safety procedures as required
- Operate, maintain, and support a variety of manufacturing equipment and production stations
- Develop and revise SOPs and work instructions to support consistent operations
- Partner with engineers to execute experiments (DOEs), collect data, and document results
- Assist with equipment qualification activities (e.g., repeatability, basic measurement studies)
- Support training of production staff on new and existing tools/processes
- Track production issues, log feedback, and perform basic troubleshooting on assembly/test systems
- Work with high-precision electro-mechanical assemblies, including basic alignment tasks
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or engineering technician roles
- Strong hands-on experience with equipment operation and process support
- Experience writing or updating technical documentation (SOPs/work instructions)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; basic exposure to Linux is a plus
- Solid problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
Nice to Have
- Experience with LiDAR or similar sensing/optical technologies
- Exposure to SQL, JMP, JIRA, or basic Python
