What you will be doing as the Operations Manager:
- Leading day‑to‑day manufacturing operations at the Company campus, driving execution, accountability, and continuous improvement across assigned work cells and functional leaders.
- Partners closely with the Operations Director, Business Unit leadership, and support functions to deliver safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives in a high‑mix, high‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Sets the operational tone on the floor—balancing urgency with discipline—while building strong, capable management teams and scalable processes that support growth, customer commitments, and long‑term site stability.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high‑performing Functional Managers and Operations leaders aligned to Company operational needs.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to define clear capability requirements and selection criteria for management roles.
- Assess individual and team capability gaps; ensure training plans and standard work are in place and effectively executed.
- Validate and continuously improve training curricula for operations leadership and frontline management.
- Establish clear, measurable goals aligned to site and Business Unit priorities (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, and People).
- Drive consistent use of operational metrics, dashboards, and tiered accountability reviews.
- Ensure consistent, transparent communication across operations leadership and frontline teams.
- Create forums for two‑way communication, idea sharing, and problem‑solving.
- Translate site and corporate strategy into executable operational plans.
- Align workcell execution with customer requirements, capacity plans, and financial targets.
- Support accurate headcount, capacity, and production forecasting for the Company campus.
- Analyze forecast vs. actual performance to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement through data‑driven analysis, KPI management, and structured problem‑solving (QRQC, RCA, Kaizen).
- Ensure standard work, procedures, and work instructions are effective, current, and consistently followed.
What you will need as the Operations Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant Manufacturing or operations experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Leadership background that is hands on - leads from the front, culture and change management driver.
- Experience operating in a complex, matrix, fast‑paced manufacturing environment (EMS preferred).
- Ability to work and connect cross functionally across multiple teams and be influential even without authority.
- Safety mindset.
- Strong working knowledge of operational metrics, labor planning, and continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency with enterprise systems and tools (Workday, SAP (ERP/MES), standard Microsoft Office applications).
