Manufacturing Manager | Global Aerospace Manufacturing | Northeast Ohio
A global aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations within a high-performance manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day manufacturing operations across designated production areas while driving operational performance through strong leadership, process discipline, and lean manufacturing execution. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style, strong problem-solving ability, and experience delivering measurable results in a complex production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, and on-time delivery goals
• Ensure safe manufacturing practices and strict adherence to all quality and process control standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 6S, TOC, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving tools
• Develop short- and long-term manufacturing strategies to improve throughput, efficiency, and cost performance
• Manage operational metrics including productivity, cost, work-in-process, and delivery performance
• Oversee production planning, manpower allocation, material flow, and equipment utilization
• Lead and develop supervisors through hiring, coaching, performance management, and talent development
• Support capital planning through equipment recommendations and manufacturing process improvements
• Establish and manage departmental operating budgets
• Foster a strong team environment focused on accountability, engagement, and operational excellence
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a complex production environment
• Strong background leading teams in high-volume or highly regulated manufacturing operations
• Demonstrated success driving measurable operational improvements
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Background:
• Aerospace, automotive, metals, or other advanced manufacturing experience
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training or certification
• Experience with 6S implementation and shop floor management systems
• MS or MBA preferred
