The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads a team of manufacturing engineers at a single manufacturing site. This role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment. The manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and manufacturing standards, while supporting operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration. This position reports to Operations Leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Process Flow

  • Lead development and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety and manufacturing standards

Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
  • Improve quality, reduce costs, and increase throughput
  • Lead cross-functional process optimization efforts

People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop manufacturing engineers
  • Provide performance feedback and support development
  • Ensure team is trained and equipped for success

Manufacturing Systems Planning

  • Optimize manufacturing systems and performance metrics
  • Support system upgrades and new technology implementation

Budget & Expense Management

  • Lead capital budgeting and manage capital projects
  • Monitor budgets and allocate resources effectively

Internal and Supplier Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers on requirements


Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to support new product development and solve complex technical challenges

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans
  • Proven ability to drive consistent execution of manufacturing processes while maintaining safety compliance
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process improvement and efficiency

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
