Job Description:
ITW Drawform is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team. This position provides hands-on learning experience and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineering professionals in a collaborative environment. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will contribute to various projects, gaining exposure to design, process improvement, testing, and quality control within our operations.
Essential Functions:
- Identify and categorize types of machine controls for every production work cell.
- Analyze and document departmental Quality Management Framework.
- Organize and maintain mechanical and electrical drawings for each production work cell.
- Update all Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) placards and work cell entry procedures to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Assist with engineering projects, including research, data analysis, hands-on implementation, and reporting.

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Prior internship, co-op, or hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles, with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Learning & Development Opportunities:
This summer internship is designed as a learning-focused experience. Interns will receive mentorship from experienced engineers, exposure to plant leadership, and opportunities to present project results at the conclusion of the internship.

- This position is based in a manufacturing plant environment. Interns will spend time on the production floor and in engineering offices. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas. Standing, walking, and interaction with production equipment are expected.
