As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll serve as a critical technical authority — owning custom solutions from concept to factory floor. This is a hybrid product and process engineering role where your decisions drive real outcomes in aerospace, defense, and beyond.
II. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Cost Estimating: Assess manufacturability and build accurate cost models that directly shape what the business can win.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Build complete manufacturing data packages — CAD models, drawings, BOMs, routings, work instructions, and ERP setup — ensuring spec compliance before anything hits the floor.
- Process Ownership: Be the technical expert for dip braze, heat treat, solder, and weld. You develop the processes, write the rules, and own compliance.
- Program Management & Quality: Monitor live jobs, develop fixtures, and disposition non-conformances with confidence. Your judgment protects product integrity and keeps production moving.
III. JOB SCOPE
High-impact and high-visibility, you'll interface across Sales, Customers, Purchasing, Quality, and Production Control — making decisions that directly affect operations. You'll also mentor shop personnel and represent engineering with authority.
IV. WHAT our client is looking for:
- BS in Engineering with 5+ years in manufacturing
- SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- GD&T, DFM, machine shop practices, and statistical analysis
- NPI, PFMEA, 8D, Lean, PPAP, and ISO 9000/AS9100 familiarity
- Aerospace and defense experience strongly preferred
- Lean Green Belt a plus
You're a fit if you love hard problems, take ownership seriously, and thrive in a fast-paced shop floor environment!
