Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a client in Canton, IL 61520.- On-site for a 12-month contract.


Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Canton, IL 61520- Onsite

Contract: 12 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $40/hr-$50/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)



Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support day-to-day manufacturing operations in a regulated production environment. This role requires hands-on involvement in manufacturing processes, equipment qualification, validation activities, and continuous process improvements within a cleanroom environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing and production activities on the manufacturing floor.
  • Assist with equipment qualification and validation activities to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Update and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform data collection and analysis to support manufacturing operations and process improvements.
  • Investigate and document non-conformance issues, deviations, and support corrective actions.
  • Assist with process improvements and documentation updates to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with cleanroom procedures and regulated manufacturing standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, engineering, and production.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience after graduation (internships or co-ops will not be considered).
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive, or aerospace.
  • Familiarity with equipment qualification, validation, documentation, and non-conformance handling.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and support process improvements.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
