Description:

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Associate for the Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies.



What You Will Be Doing


As the Manufacturing Engineer Associate you will be responsible for creating and implementing Manufacturing Process Plans, designing tooling, and supporting production operators.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans (MPPs) for electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Design tooling, support equipment, and process flows using drafting and software tools.
  • Provide technical guidance to manufacturing operators to improve assembly performance.
  • Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields.
  • Investigate root causes of failures/defects and drive corrective actions.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related
discipline from an accredited college.
This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US
Citizen
Desired Skills:
Knowledge in Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.
Basic skills in 3D modeling software such as Solidworks and 3D Printing prototyping.
Understanding the concept of Root Cause/Corrective Action.
Data analytics.
Familiar with Lean Six Sigma.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
