Manufacturing Design Engineer
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday 1st Shift, 8:00am-4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $60,000 to $70,000(depending on experience)
Location: Dayton, Ohio 45404
Experience: 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, specifically with metal stamping, progressive dies, or tool & die design.

You’ll take complex product requirements and transform them into efficient, manufacturable designs. From optimizing our famous assortment of industry-leading parts to developing custom die sets, your work will directly impact productivity for customers in the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries.What You’ll Do- Design for Excellence (DFM/DFA): Use SolidWorks/AutoCAD to create 3D models and detailed drawings for stamping dies, cam units, and specialized components.
- Innovate Processes: Identify bottlenecks and implement Kaizen-driven improvements to reduce waste and boost manufacturing speed.
- Prototype & Test: Lead the transition from "napkin sketch" to production-ready tool, overseeing prototype builds and rigorous testing.
- Collaborate & Consult: Work hand-in-hand with our toolmakers, sales pros, and customers to ensure every component meets high-precision tolerances.
- Drive Quality: Uphold our ISO 9001 standards by performing tolerance analysis and ensuring every design is built for long-service life.
What You’ll Need- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Expertise: 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, specifically with metal stamping, progressive dies, or tool & die design.
- Tech Savvy: High proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software and a strong grasp of GD&T.
- The Lean Mindset: Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen, 5S, etc.) is a major plus.
- Precision: An obsession with detail—because in our world, a fraction of a millimeter is the difference between success and failure.
