MANAGER OF REHABILITATION- Facility: BSW Frisco/Denton/Corinth/McKinney
- Shift/Schedule: FT Day's (80 hours per pay period) Monday-Friday
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational functions of the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation departments across multiple acute care hospitals and an inpatient rehabilitation facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality rehabilitative care through effective staff management, operational oversight, program development, and continuous performance improvement. The PM&R Manager supports daily departmental operations while promoting evidence-based practice, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and staff development. About Us

Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Manager plans, implements, and manages rehabilitation services. This can be site-specific or within a department. The goal is to provide high-quality patient care cost-effectively.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Participates in developing, coordinating, and implementing policies, procedures, goals, and priorities for rehabilitation services. This ensures the smooth and efficient delivery of quality services.
- Maintains a management process to assess service quality. Participates with management to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve complaints.
- Partners with management and the Human Resource Department to fulfill staffing needs. This includes interviewing, hiring, counseling, conducting performance evaluations, and terminations. Orients new staff members, as necessary.
- Oversees staff work in administering services and fosters their professional growth. Ensures staff follow health and safety policies through training and monitoring. Ensures proper equipment training for staff and patients.
- Maintains relationships with departments and teams to exchange information. Coordinates services and facilitates information flow. Participates in planning, conducts training, and resolves issues.
- Represents the site and department at various meetings seminars and committees, both within and outside the system.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of rehabilitation, health care and management through review of current literature and other educational experiences.
- Assumes accountability for the financial status of the assigned site and department. This includes the budgeting process, calculating capital needs, and breaking down budget variations and expense allocation.

- Knowledge of rehabilitation, wellness and the implications to singular hospital associates, corporate and community patients.
- Must exhibit exceptional face-to-face and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and data entry.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Bachelor's
- EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Licensed Recreational Trainer (ATHLTRNR), Licensed Audiologist (AUDIOLOG), Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Occupational Therapist (OT), Psychologist (PSY), Physical Therapist (PT), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP): Must have a Speech/Language Pathologist or Audiologist License.
OR must have one of the following:
Occupational Therapist
Physical Therapist
Lic Fit Trainer
Neuropsychologist/Psychologist Lic
Therapeutic Recreational Spec Lic.
