Position Overview

The Manager of Marketing & Events in Education plays a critical role in supporting the association’s educational programming by leading marketing efforts and managing the operational execution of education-related content and events. This role is responsible for promoting webinars, conferences, and paid educational offerings while ensuring seamless experience across marketing, registration, digital platforms, and day-of execution of all events. In addition, the role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and execution of the organization’s educational programs and events, including webinars, virtual programs, and in-person convenings. This individual plays a key role in ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for speakers, attendees, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is very detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Promotion

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for webinars, conferences, and paid educational events, including email campaigns and website promotion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and timelines for education programs.
  • Support the creation of marketing copy for event promotions, registration pages, and post-event communications.
  • Collaborate with external partners to create and coordinate event graphics and promotional visuals; presentation slides and supporting materials and event scripts, run-of-show documents and speaker guidance.

Speaker & Session Coordination

  • Gather and manage speaker information: Coordinate with speakers and internal stakeholders to ensure all materials are collected accurately and on time.
  • Maintain organized records of speaker and session details for marketing and operational use.
  • Attend all prep calls for webinars and events.

 Website & Digital Education Management

  • Oversee the education section of the association’s website, including: Creating and updating event and registration pages; Uploading and archiving recorded webinars; and Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date calendar of events.
  • Ensure registration pages are clear, accurate, and aligned with marketing efforts.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot basic website content issues related to education programming.

 Event Support & Program Execution

  • Support the planning and development of event agendas in collaboration with internal teams and subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create and coordinate event scripts, run-of-show documents, speaker guidance, and presentation slides and materials.
  • Manage behind-the-scenes execution leading up to events, ensuring all program elements are organized, communicated, and delivered on time.
  • Execute day-of-event responsibilities including: Registration desk management; Attendee check-in, Assisting presenters/speakers; Troubleshooting basic issues to maintain program flow; and On-Site customer service.
  • Support virtual event delivery, including moderating chats, managing Q&A, and coordinating with technical platforms.

Team Support

  • Provide support to the Director of the Conference Center regarding coverage of external clients and events.
  • General support for education team including: Tracking timelines, deadlines, and deliverables for education programs; Providing regular status updates and agendas; and Managing post-event follow-up, including archiving content and assisting with communications.

 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (marketing, communications, education, or a related field)
  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role
  • Experience coordinating events, webinars, or digital content
  • Proficiency with software packages including Canva, WordPress, and YouTube
  • Comfort working with websites, registration platforms, and content management systems
  • Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or association environments is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service orientation


Salary Range and Benefits


Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
