Job Duties and Responsibilities

This leadership role drives the architectural evolution of the Order Orchestration team, ensuring complex end-to-end workflows remain seamless across all Boost brand sales channels. The primary mission involves integrating disparate systems—such as fraud prevention, payments, and provisioning—into a unified, high-scale platform that powers the retail wireless experience. By balancing the demand for rapid feature delivery with a commitment to engineering excellence, this position ensures long-term stability and performance for a high-impact 30+ person organization.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
  • Drive the seamless execution of the full order lifecycle, ensuring reliable coordination between integrated systems like shipping and customer communications.

  • Deliver scalable architecture for retail wireless platforms that directly supports departmental OKRs for system uptime and transaction volume.

  • Foster a high-performance culture through strategic hiring, onboarding, and career development across two distinct sub-teams.

  • Maintain consistent delivery velocity and robust code quality by implementing rigorous Agile methodologies and transparent stakeholder reporting.

  • Leverage AI-driven development tools to optimize code review processes and accelerate production deployment cycles.


Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring)
  • Expertise in designing and delivering enterprise-scale distributed systems and complex backend orchestration patterns.

  • Critical experience building and scaling engineering organizations of 30+ members within high-scale, fast-paced environments.

  • Ability to balance immediate feature delivery with long-term architectural strategy and technical debt management.

  • Strategic problem-solving skills to align technical roadmaps with cross-functional business priorities and customer experience goals.

  • Professional leadership to mentor technical leads and cultivate a culture of accountability and engineering ownership.

  • AI literacy to identify and implement automated solutions that enhance team productivity and software reliability.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Minimum Experience: 8+ years of experience in software engineering with 4+ years in an engineering management role.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Critical experience leading engineering teams of 10+ members in high-scale environments.

  • Enterprise-scale distributed systems design.

  • Backend orchestration and order management system architecture.

  • Agile delivery leadership and stakeholder management.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
