Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary

Manages Cardiovascular Services including program design and implementation, financial, marketing, public relations and strategic planning. Demonstrates responsibility for quality and care management improvement initiatives and implementation and maintenance of standards. Acts as the leader and role model for professional practice conducted in the areas under their supervision and demonstrates responsibility for standards development and staff education.

Essential Functions

  • Initiates the planning, development, and implementation of cardiovascular programs.
  • Establishes regular and effective communication with the cardiovascular staff, surgeons, physicians, and Director.
  • Establishes and maintains communications with local and national organizations, agencies, and professional associations to share information relating to the development and operations of the cardiovascular program and its functions.
  • Reviews reimbursement rates, payment trends, and denials related to cardiovascular services.
  • Works with clinical and administrative staff to address denial issues, implement corrective actions, and optimize financial workflows while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Develops, implements, and manages continuous quality improvement initiatives for the cardiovascular team.
Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's of Nursing or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
    • Masters of Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience

Licensure:

  • Registered Nurse: AZ
  • Basic Life Support- American Heart Association required

Knowledge, Skills and Training:

  • Demonstrated ability to understand Cardiac Cath, ECHO, Stress Testing, Cardiac CT and other cardiac related diagnostic testing.
