Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in a clinical setting. This role includes supporting radiologists during biopsies and localization procedures, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
Pay - The anticipated wage for this position is between $ 79 and $81. Hourly wage depends upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms with accurate positioning and image quality
- Assist radiologists with procedures including core biopsies, FNAs, and wire localizations
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and provide education to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Operate and maintain digital mammography equipment, including basic troubleshooting and quality control
- Review images for diagnostic quality and obtain additional views as needed
- Manage and transmit images through PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
- Handle documentation, patient records, and procedure billing accurately
- Support workflow by coordinating prior imaging, follow-ups, and communication with providers
- Maintain compliance with mammography regulations, safety standards, and aseptic technique
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of mammography positioning and imaging techniques, including non-routine views
- Experience assisting with breast imaging procedures and biopsies
- Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and digital imaging systems
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and billing
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Licenses & Certifications
- CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
- Mammography Certification (MAM)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
