Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a permanent role with an outpatient healthcare client in Belleville, NJ where you will perform specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography (ARRT) (M) certification.
- State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology for New Jersey.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- At least one year of diagnostic imaging or mammography experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate mammographic equipment and to produce high quality diagnostic images using appropriate compression, exposure modes, filters, kVp, mAs, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC/photo cell selection and other equipment adjustments.
- Experience providing patient-centered care, including monitoring patient well-being during exams and responding to patient discomfort or medical issues.
- Experience communicating effectively with physicians, patients, families, and coworkers in a clinical setting.
- Ability to safeguard patient health information and follow protocols for secure handling of medications and patient financial information.

Role Responsibilities:
- Operate mammographic equipment and related devices according to established policies and protocols.
- Produce timely, high quality diagnostic mammographic images while delivering professional patient care.
- Apply technical knowledge of compression, exposure, filters, kVp, mAs, grid selection, focal spot size, and AEC/photo cell selection to optimize images.
- Monitor patients during exams, recognize discomfort or medical problems, and take appropriate action.
- Guide and educate patients through exam procedures and address questions and concerns with empathy and clarity.
- Respond to physician inquiries regarding patient imaging and findings.
- Maintain patient privacy and safeguard patient health information and on-site medications in accordance with policy and law.
- Exhibit professional behavior, respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities, and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues.
