Required Knowledge, Experience, And TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience performing general building and grounds maintenance such as cleaning, painting, minor electrical, plumbing or working in a construction setting.
Licensing And Other Requirements- Valid state issued driver's license.

Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Provides team support and training, as needed.
Performs daily maintenance activities, collects trash and debris and empties trash receptacles and conducts regular grounds maintenance on and around municipal facilities. Performs routine upkeep for the appearance of grounds and landscaping. Performs seasonal duties, applies ice melt and removes snow and ice from ramps, roads, parking lots and walkways. Provides excellent customer service while performing all maintenance activities.
Assists with and performs a wide array of general building cleaning and maintenance, including painting, wall patching, repairing flooring and unclogging drains. Utilizes cleaning solutions and solvents. Inspects facilities for damage and areas needing repair. Performs basic mechanical duties and assists with plumbing; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); and electrical projects.
Participates with other technicians conducting preventive maintenance and general repair activities on multiple building systems including fire detection and suppression, irrigation, doors, water features, masonry, storm drains, safety equipment, mechanical systems and generators.
Assists with tenant improvements by framing, installing drywall, taping and texturing, painting, installing carpet and performing related activities. Performs cubicle reconfigurations, furniture moves, office relocations and configures meeting room setup. Utilizes hand and power tools, drain clearing machines, saws, drills and wrenches.
Utilizes a maintenance management system to receive work orders as well as accurately document work activities and time spent performing them. Maintains a safe, clean and orderly work environment. Maintains records of tools assigned, supplies used, incidents of vandalism and schedules of work performed.

Employees are exposed to mechanical and electrical hazards, work in/at heights and confined spaces. Employees will also drive a vehicle as part of this position. This position works: Works a rotating on-call schedule. This position occasionally works evenings and weekends and may be required to respond to system alarms.
